About Me
Dr. V Srinivasa Reddy, Professor of Civil Engineering, has received his Ph.D. from JNTU Hyderabad, Telangana. He has over 10 years of Industry and 10 years of teaching experience. He is actively involved in research activities from 8 years. He is university topper in Master of Technology (M.Tech) Structural Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (J.N.T.U), Hyderabad. Additionally he has Post graduate Diploma in Management.
He has joined GRIET as Associate Professor and previously he worked for JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad for 5 years. He worked for JNTUH College of Engineering (Manthani) as Visiting Lecturer (on deputation). His career interests are to be involved extensively in Teaching and Research Activities relevant to Industry and Society. He is associated with various professional bodies such as Institute of Engineers (India), Indian Society for Technical Education, Indian Concrete Institute, Universal Association of Civil, Structural And Environmental Engineers, American Concrete Institute.
He is Chartered Engineer (C Eng) for Institution of Engineers (India). He is member of National Advisory Committee & Editorial Board Member for International Journal of Scientific Review and Research in Engineering and Technology. His research interests are Concrete technology, Special concretes, Rehabilitation and Retrofitting of structures, Civil Engineering Software applications. He teaches Theory of Elasticity and Plasticity, Advanced Solid Mechanics and Structural Dynamics at Post graduate level and Advanced Structural analysis and Construction technology at graduate level. He has nearly 80 national and international publications.
He was presented twice the IEI Best Technical Paper award from Civil Engineering Division of Institution of Engineers (India) A P State Centre presented during Technical session of the 2ndth Annual General Meeting 2016 and 77th Annual General Meeting 2015. He has nearly 10 invited lecture talks at various engineering colleges and National Academy of Construction Hyderabad. He authored Chapter No. 13 titled ‘BACTERIAL CONCRETE: A SUSTAINABLE SELF-HEALING BIO-CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL’, in book titled “Engineering and Technology: Recent Innovations and Research” with ISBN: 978-93-86138-06-4 published by International Research Publication House (IRPH0, New Delhi, India (2016), pp.241-266 and Chapter No. 08 titled ‘SPECIAL CONCRETES FOR SUSTAINABLE CONSTRUCTION’, in book titled “Engineering and Technology: Latest Progress” (2017) with ISBN: 978-93-80233-03-1 published by Meta Research Press (MRP), New Delhi, India (2017),pp. 341-369.. He is an Editor for Proceedings of National Conference on RECENT INNOVATIONS IN CIVIL ENGINEERING (2017) with ISBN: 978-93-5279-269-6.
He has guided nearly 15 B.Tech, 16 M.Tech. And guiding 2 Ph.D. scholars. He is actively involved in consultancy projects executed by the department.
